Avalon pottery was started in Trethevy in 1963 by Jack Boundy.  He had previously worked at Tintagel Pottery.  Around 1969 he moved to the site which is now "Avalon Crafts" in Bossiney Road, Tintagel and stayed there until he sold the premises in 1981.
